Leith’s latest public artwork has been up for a little while now, a handpainted calligraphic masterpiece taking the bonnie Saltire as it’s inspiration.

The French artist behind the mural painted it nearly 2 months ago at the start of September during a stay in the capital, so the paint has long since dried. However, from what I can tell this one hasn’t found it’s way onto many social media streams, so I’d like to give it some air time of my own.

Box Vincent is also the artist behind the Instagram account Garbage Beauty, expertly painting calligraphy on discarded materials, taking them to a public spot, and leaving them for a lucky member of the public to collect.
