Firstly, a belated happy new year! I took a break from writing over the festive period, but now very much looking forward to 2014.
But before looking forward, one last look back at some art from a trip to Marseille at the tail end of 2013. It’s such an interesting city, resolutely un-French, in part due to its port through which a large African population has passed. It really is a ‘melting pot’, both in terms of its residents, but also in terms of its culture.
The street art scene, as you’d expect is as vibrant as the city itself, with the work of a number of great local artists on the walls as well as larger names such as JR, C215 & Jef Aerosol.
