Music to lose yourself to – atmospheric melodies and warm vocals sew together Romanian DJ Mahera Mehy’s uplifting hour long guest mix.

Mehy’s debut EP on Bullfinch Records My Lands caught the attention of myself and many others earlier in November. The track’s deep sounds hovering between house and techno are an excellent example of Bullfinch’s focus on the brooding end of melodic house genre.

It also makes for a strong first foray – the follow up to which will now be hotly anticipated by fellow DJs, labels and fans alike.

He’s been making a name for himself in the underground scenes of the Black Sea Coast during the last 8 years, so I was excited to invite him to record a new guest mix to show what he could produce behind the decks too.

Born in Constanța, Romania, Mehy cites Global Underground among the music that changed his life – these influences can certainly be traced back to his own productions, and in his DJing style which he likes to refer to as “emotional” electronic club music.

In truth, though, this mix is as listenable in the headphones on a lazy Sunday as it is during a hedonistic Friday night in his current hometown on Leipzig.

Either way, line this one up. As always, your views in the comments or on all the usual social media channels is very welcome.
