Above‘s work is undoubtedly amongst some of the most instantly recogniseable at the moment. Despite his origins in ‘traditional’ graffiti back in 1995 when he spent his time painting the freight trains of California, Above is best known for his upward pointing arrows, and more recently his stencils and letter work. Earlier this year he painted this warehouse in Cape Town, incorporating the tail of an aircraft into the painting. Looks incredible!

You can check the video of Above painting this piece here. Above has also issued 200 copies of his new book ‘Passport’ obviously a nod to his well travelled art work. He has painted in 90 cities and over 60 different countries and funds the majority of these excursions himself. Check out some more of his work courtesy of Above’s website. UKB
